Your Boarding Pass

As I flew out to be with my momma, the Lord reminded me that He speaks in the little things.

Sometimes we expect Him to show up only in church services, quiet prayer times, or while reading Scripture. But this time, He met me in an airport.

As I checked in, made my way through security, verified my identity, and then entered the TSA PreCheck line, I couldn't help but notice how even an ordinary travel routine pointed my heart back to eternity.

TSA PreCheck is reserved for trusted travelers, people who have gone through a process and have been cleared. Standing there, I felt the Holy Spirit gently ask me a question:

Can my life be trusted to reflect Christ?

Not because I've earned my salvation. We know salvation is by grace alone. But does my daily walk reveal the One I belong to? Do my words, my choices, my attitude, and the way I love others point people back to Jesus?

Then came the next step.

The gate agent asked for my boarding pass.

Immediately, my thoughts went to the Great Commission. Jesus has called every believer to go, to make disciples, and to live as ambassadors of His Kingdom. Every one of us is on a journey toward an eternal destination.

The question isn't whether we'll arrive somewhere.

The question is where.

What boarding pass will you be holding?

Heaven or hell?

Life has a departure date that none of us knows. Before that day comes, each of us must decide who we will follow.

Following Jesus isn't always easy. It means picking up our cross daily. It means laying down our own desires, choosing obedience over comfort, and allowing God to shape us into His image. It means continuing to walk with Him even when life becomes difficult, because He first called us.

Every day presents opportunities to trust Him in both the ordinary and the extraordinary. Even an airport became a reminder that this life is temporary, but eternity is forever.

Prayer

Lord, help me pick up my cross every day. Keep my eyes fixed on You. Make me a trustworthy follower whose life reflects Christ in both the big and the small moments. Continue molding me into the living and walking image You have called me to be. Let every step I take point others toward You.

Your boarding pass.

One-way destination.

The choice is made before departure.
