A poem for the one who feels like giving up

My precious child,

I know you're tired.

Not the kind of tired that sleep can fix.

The kind that settles deep in the soul.

The kind that whispers,

"No one understands."

"No one would notice."

"It would be easier if I were gone."

But listen closely.

Those whispers are not Mine.

I have never called you a burden.

I have never called you forgotten.

I have never called you beyond hope.

I call you Mine.

I know the pain you don't have words for.

I know the memories that still visit you at night.

I know the weight you've been carrying in silence.

I know the smile you've learned to wear while your heart quietly breaks.

You don't have to convince Me.

I already know.

Come closer.

Bring Me the tears you keep hiding.

Bring Me the questions.

Bring Me the anger.

Bring Me the fear.

Bring Me every broken piece.

I am not afraid of your pain.

Let Me carry what has been crushing you.

Let someone else carry it too.

Don't walk through this valley alone.

Reach for the hand beside you, even if your own is trembling.

Tell someone the truth.

Stay.

One.

More.

Day.

Then let Me meet you there.

And if tomorrow still feels too heavy,

stay one more.

I am still writing your story.

There are people you haven't met yet who will one day thank God you didn't give up.

There are prayers you haven't seen answered.

There are songs you haven't heard.

There are sunsets you haven't watched.

There is laughter waiting to find you again.

And there is healing that may seem impossible today, but is never impossible for Me.

So breathe.

Even if it's one shaky breath at a time.

Keep walking.

Even if it's only one step.

Keep hoping.

Even if all you can hold is the smallest thread.

Because I am holding on to you, even when you feel too weak to hold on to Me.

Stay.

I'm not finished yet.

Love,

Your Father
